Fr. Mark Goring wants to undertake a sailing trip based on an idea he got from reading Sirach, Chapter 13. It states that “the number of a man’s days are great if he reaches 100 years. Like a drop of water in the sea or a grain of sand. Such as these few years compared to eternity”. Fr. Mark says that most of us are living as if this life is all we have. We don’t realise that our citizenship is in heaven. So, Fr. Mark wants to sail out into the middle lake of Ontario and put a drop of water into that sea!
