JobConnect – video for jobseekers

Length of video: 2-3 mins
Format: video, animation, stop motion – anything but must be .mov file.
Background: JobConnect is a new job board for Ireland created by Ireland’s leading web recruitment software company, Arithon. This new job board will be free to employers and recruiters to post ads, thereby creating the largest listing of jobs in the country.

Jobseekers will be able to easily search for jobs, see each recruiter and the jobs they have available. They will be able to chat directly with recruiters to ask any questions and they will be able to see the status of their job applications and application history.

Brief: You will create a 2-3 minute video or animation in any style and genre you like.

It could be corporate, it could be funny, it could be viral, it could be serious, it could be lighthearted. The choice is yours!

As this video will be shown to jobseekers, your piece should refer to one of the following areas:

· Free job board for employers who will therefore have access to more jobs
· User-friendly interface
· Ability to see application history
· Ability to track the status of open applications
· Ability to live chat with the recruiter in charge of the job you are applying for

Please include a short paragraph outlining your concept and storyboards of how it will look.

Prize: If selected to produce your video, €100 will be given to cover production costs with the overall winning entry receiving €1000.

Submission: Please submit your initial concept paragraph and storyboard to Niamh McCafferty (n.mccafferty@arithon.com). If selected to produce your video, you will then need to submit your finished piece by 8th November.

Submission of initial concept and storyboard: 14th October
Submission of final piece: 8th November
