Sports Development Service Internship [N.B. APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED]

Role:
To produce media content for the Sports Development Service, this media content will be used for promoting DCU Sport Clubs on the Sports Development Service website, social media, publications and any additional promotional platforms. This role requires a strong passion for video production and related skills.

Description of duties:

    • Develop video content to promote participation in Sports Clubs at DCU
    • Shoot and edit interviews with Sports Clubs committee members
    • Shoot and edit interviews with sport scholarship recipients
    • Record, edit and produce short videos on scholarship awards evenings, intervarsity events etc.
    • Record edit and produce short videos on less well known DCU sports clubs
    • To transform photographs and video content captured by students representing clubs and events (Sports Development Service provides access to Go Pro Hero 4 Silver with accessories and Canon EOS 700D camera to members of Sports Clubs to use)

Structure of role:

  • Attend weekly meeting with the Head of the Sports Development Service
  • Agree project deadlines with the Head of the Sports Development Service and work to achieve these goals
  • Work off initiative and discuss any innovative ideas to the Head of Sports Development Service
  • Work space provided within the Sports Development Service (optional for intern to use)
  • New Apple Mac Book provided (upon successful completion of internship, the intern will keep this Mac Book)
  • Sports Development Service will provide reference to perspective employers upon successful completion of Internship
