It’s no secret that American education is in a profound crisis. From dismal academic performance, to bitter contention over gender ideology taught in elementary school, the damage caused by COVID school lockdowns, a collapse in discipline, and fear of violence, “school days” have become much more complicated than reading, writing, and arithmetic.

The questions are: Why is education in such turmoil and what can be done about it? Dr. Keri D. Ingraham has some cogent thoughts. Dr. Ingraham is Director of Discovery Institute’s American Center for Transforming Education. She holds a Doctor of Education degree and a Master of Education degree from Regent University. Her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree was awarded from George Fox University, where she was named an Academic All-American.

Dr. Ingraham has abundant practical experience. Prior to joining the Discovery Institute, she spent nearly two decades leading in the field, as a national consultant, requested conference speaker, head of school, virtual and hybrid academy director, administrator, classroom teacher, and athletic coach.

Dr. Ingraham has been a guest on Fox News multiple times. Her articles on education have been published by The Wall Street JournalNew York PostThe FederalistReal Clear EducationThe Washington TimesNational ReviewThe American SpectatorWashington ExaminerThe Epoch TimesThe Seattle TimesPuget Sound Business JournalThe Daily Signal, and a host of other media outlets.
